Click on Create a new
connection.
Click Next
The New Connection Wizard begins ...
On the New Connection
Wizard hit Next.
On the Network Connection
Type window, select Connect to the Internet
Click Next
On the Getting Ready window, select Set up my connection manually
Click Next
On the Internet Connection window, select Connect using a dial-up
modem
Click Next
On the Connection Name window, type i3web (This is a label)
Click Next
On the Phone Number to Dial window, type the dialup number in
XXX-XXX-XXXX format
Find your i3web Phone Number below for your local area.
Click Next
On the Internet Account
Information window, Enter the following information:
Your i3web User name and password.
These values were should have been selected by you when you set up your
account. The user name should be entered with the "@i3" such as user@i3
THESE VALUES ARE CASE
SENSITIVE AND MUST BE ENTERED ACCURATELY.
Put a check in the boxes
labeled Use this account name and password when ... and Add a
shortcut to this connection to my desktop.
Click Next
You have completed the
New Connection Wizard
Click Finish
Congratulations! You have now successfully set up Windows
XP to connect to the internet using your i3web dial-up account.
Click Next
II. Fix Default Network
Settings.
CLICK the START button. CLICK CONTROL PANEL
DOUBLE-CLICK on Network Connections
RIGHT-CLICK on the i3web connection icon and CLICK PROPERTIES
on the menu
(You will find properties at the Bottom of the drop-down menu)
CLICK the Networking tab near the top of the Properties Window.
CLICK the Settings Button located 25% of the way down the Networking
Properties window.
In the PPP Settings window, Remove the checks from Enable LCP extensions
and Negotiate multi-link for single link
(Please make sure that Enable software compression is checked)
CLICK OK and then CLICK OK again to close the windows and
save changes
